For your safety, we do not recommend advanced skin treatments such as TCA peels or microneedling for guests with an active autoimmune condition, those undergoing cancer treatment, or anyone whose immune system may be compromised.

Because these treatments intentionally stimulate a healing response in the skin, we prefer to take a more conservative approach. Depending on your individual circumstances, a traditional facial or gentle Organic Micro Peel may be a more appropriate option.

The number of treatments depends on your skin concerns, goals, and how your skin responds. Some guests may see noticeable improvement after a single treatment, while concerns such as acne scarring, pigmentation, uneven texture, or fine lines may benefit from a series of treatments.

Your esthetician will evaluate your skin and recommend an appropriate treatment plan, whether you’re receiving TCA peels, microneedling, or a combination of treatments.

We typically begin with a 13% TCA peel so we can evaluate how your skin responds to the treatment. As your skin becomes accustomed to TCA and based on your individual skin concerns, treatment history, and goals, we may gradually progress to a higher TCA concentration when appropriate.

Our goal is not simply to use the strongest peel possible, but to choose the appropriate strength for your skin and desired results.

Both treatments support skin renewal, but they work differently. A TCA peel uses a professional chemical solution to exfoliate damaged outer layers of skin and encourage fresh skin renewal. It can be a great option for concerns such as uneven tone, sun damage, pigmentation, fine lines, and texture.

Microneedling creates controlled microchannels in the skin to stimulate the skin’s natural healing response and collagen production. It is commonly chosen for concerns such as acne scars, enlarged pores, uneven texture, and fine lines.

After a TCA peel, your skin may initially appear red or feel tight and dry, followed by visible flaking or peeling as the skin renews. The amount of peeling varies depending on your skin and the intensity of your treatment.

Plan for several days of visible skin changes. During this time, it is important to follow your aftercare instructions and allow the skin to shed naturally—do not pick or pull at peeling skin.

After microneedling, your skin may appear red and feel warm, tight, or sensitive, similar to a mild sunburn. Some dryness or light flaking may also occur as your skin begins its natural recovery process.

Most guests experience the most noticeable redness and sensitivity during the first 1–3 days, although recovery varies from person to person. Microneedling is commonly used to improve the appearance of acne scars, uneven texture, enlarged pores, and fine lines, with results developing gradually as the skin’s natural collagen-remodeling process occurs.
